Battle of Mutah
- The Holy Prophet (pbuh) sent a message with a letter to the Roman Emperor, a Christian.
- The messenger was killed at Mutah, a place in Syria.
- The Holy Prophet (pbuh) sent an army of 3,000 Muslims under the leadership of Zaid bin Haris.
- Hazrat Zaid was martyred during the battle.
- After Hazrat Zaid's death, Hazrat Ja'afar took command but was also martyred.
- Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawahah then took command but was also martyred.
- After the deaths of the three leaders, the Muslim army came under the command of Khalid bin Walid.
- 9 swords were broken at the hand h.khalid bin walid.
- Under Khalid bin Walid's command, the Muslim army defeated the enemy.
conquest of Makkah
- After the Treaty of Hudaibiya, the Khuza tribe joined the Muslims, while the Banu Bakr tribe became an ally of the Quraish.
- The Quraish, along with the Banu Bakr, attacked and killed the men of Banu Khuza, violating the treaty.
- A deputation of the Banu Khuza came to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and asked for his aid and protection.
- The Holy Prophet (pbuh) promised to help them and sent a messenger to the Quraish offering three alternatives.
- The alternatives were: to pay compensation for the men of Banu Khuza, to dissolve their alliance with the Banu Bakr, or to declare that the treaty of Hudaibiya stood dissolved.
- The Quraish took the third option, and the Holy Prophet (pbuh) decided to fight against them.
- The Holy Prophet (pbuh) left Madinah on the 10th of Ramazan 8 A.H. with an army that numbered 10,000 men by the time he reached Makkah.
- The Holy Prophet (pbuh) divided his army into four groups and instructed them not to fight unless attacked.
- The Quraish offered no resistance, but the unit under Khalid bin Walid's command was attacked by the Banu Bakr and some Quraish.
