• The Hijra is the migration of Muhammad and his followers from Mecca to Medina in 622 CE

• after the pledges of Aqabah, prophet finally decided to migrate to yasrib, where people readily accepted him and he and his followers were safe from persecution

• Abu Bakr and Prophet Muhammad went to hide in Thawr Cave, where Abu Bakr first cleaned it and covered all holes with his clothes. For one last hole, he had to use his foot as a cover.
• When Prophet Muhammad slept on Abu Bakr's lap, an insect kept biting Abu Bakr's foot, but he stayed quiet despite the pain to not disturb the Prophet's sleep.
• Finally, Abu Bakr's tears of pain fell on the Prophet who woke up, and after learning what happened, healed the bite with his saliva.
• Abu Bakr's son Abdullah guarded the cave at night and brought news from town during the day about their enemies' plans.
• Their servant Amir bin fuhayrah brought them fresh milk daily for those three nights they stayed in the cave.
• Allah made a tree grow to hide the cave entrance, sent two pigeons to sit there for protection, and made a spider create a web at the entrance.
• When their enemies came with weapons and searched, they came very close but only saw the pigeons and left, showing how Allah kept them safe.
